>“Everything you do, do with intention.”
Dr. Michael Piccirillo is the owner and operator of the Perpetual Motion Performance Center. The concept of P.M.P.C. combines healthcare, fitness, and overall well-being through evidence-based treatment protocols, education, and mindset. He was inspired to become a doctor at a young age when injuries to his shoulder threatened his ability to play baseball. After seeing multiple doctors for his injury, it seemed the only option was surgery.
He landed at his Chiropractors office for his routine adjustment and after discussing his injury the Chiropractor offered this suggestion, “give me six weeks, worst-case scenario is you don’t get any better and you have surgery.” Trusting his doctor’s treatment plan, he began therapy. After the first appointment, there was a noticeable decrease in pain levels. Within weeks, Dr. Mike was able to return to baseball, not only without pain but throwing harder than he was before the injury. This sparked a passion and inspired Dr. Mike to pursue a career combining fitness and medicine.
Dr. Mike began his career helping people as a personal trainer when he was 18 years old. Over more than 10 years in the fitness industry, he accrued multiple advanced training certifications in fitness and nutrition to help better serve his clients and athletes. Since then he has earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and has been practicing in South Florida for the past 5 years. While attending school and through post-doctoral education, he has sought multiple courses and certifications to further his knowledge. These courses include Graston Technique Level I, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), and RockTape Functional Movement Taping Level I and II. He believes these advanced techniques help him serve his patients optimally. Dr. Piccirillo continues to expand his knowledge and ability to provide the most up to date treatments and techniques through attending multiple conferences and training seminars each year across multiple styles of medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Mike enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, working on his Jeep wrangler, cooking, and playing golf.
